The Katadyn MyBottle Microfilter is a multi-purpose filtration system. It meets EPA guidelines for removal of bacteria and protozoan cyst (like Giardia). This economical microfilter system is easy to operate, reliable and the internal carbon filter also reduces chemicals and makes water taste better. As always, each MyBottle includes a drinking straw to use as your everyday bottle if the source water is already safe to drink. Perfect for hiking, biking, paddling or fishing. No hoses, no fuss. (note: the MyBottle Microfilter can be easily upgraded to a Purifier by adding the Katadyn purification cartridge, sold separately).

The Katadyn MyBottle Microfilter eliminates the need to carry or locate safe water, whether you are camping, hiking, paddling, fishing or anytime safe water is required. The Katadyn MyBottle Micro- filter places the advanced technology of 0.3 micron pleated glassfiber filter media and granular carbon into a standard water bottle. The result is a water bottle that meets industry standards for reduction of bacteria (99.9999%) and cysts (99.9%) such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

The Katadyn MyBottle Microfilter is designed for use with untreated fresh water sources, such as lakes, rivers and streams. It also provides a convenient alternative to pump-style water filters. Because it`s designed for personal use, the MyBottle Microfilter is not suitable for situations when large volumes of water must be treated.

Two Stage Modular Filtration
The Katadyn MyBottle Microfilter water bottle utilizes a two stage, modular filtration system. The first stage is a 0.3 micron pleated glassfiber media microfilter cartridge that removes bacteria, such as Klebsiella terrigena and cysts such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium. The second stage carbon filter reduces chemicals and unpleasant taste and odors.
