DAC Featherlite Aluminum Poles
DAC Featherlite poles are up to 15% lighter than aluminum poles of comparable strength. Additionally, Featherlite poles are less susceptible to failure because pole linkages are based on extrusion instead of glued-in inserts. Without the extra insert piece, there is less chance of breakage.
Reverse-Combi Poles
Reverse-Combi poles use a different diameter of metal in different areas of the pole, with a larger diameter at the top of the tent and a smaller diameter on the sides. This change in tension alters the arc of the pole and allows the tent walls to be steeper while flattening the top. With steeper tent walls, the interior footprint is maximized to offer more useable space for greater comfort and greater headroom for occupants.
Ultra MicroClip
These strong, ultra-light clips employ a camming action to lock onto the pole and hold it securely in place. The result is a lighter weight clip with improved strength and holding power.
Flight Series Tents
Many efforts were taken to reduce the overal weight of Flight Series tents for imroved efficiency during fast packing. Excess space and features were scaled down to reduce weight and a new silicone flysheet was added for greater packability and water repellecy. These all new, three season, freestanding tents are ideal for weight conscious adventure seekers who value performance and efficiency.
Fusion Pitch
Fusion Pitch combines traditional continuous pole sleeve construction with clip construction for easy set-up and improved ventilation. This hybrid design utilizes the time-test strength and dependability of continuous pole sleeves in the main structural poles, providing support where it`s needed the most. Additional poles easily clip on for added support and allow fresh air to circulate more freely between the canopy and the fly. Featured in various models in TNF`s 3-season, Ultralight and Base Camp tents, Fusion Pitch makes set-up easy without sacrificing strength.
Nano-Knuckle
The basic single-walled tent design has been enhanced, dramatically improving its ventilation capability. An aluminum Nano-Knuckle on the top cross pole allows venting on the top of the tent. This zip-closable overhead vent, in combination with the lower perimeter venting allows for strong, cross-tent ventilation, and still keeps elements at bay.
