Durable Water Resistant Finish
Durable Water Resistant (DWR) finishes on fabrics and zippers give long life to waterproof technologies. The addition of an enhanced hydrophobic treatment enables the DWR to adhere to materials for an extremely extended lifetime. Like water off a ducks back!

With it`s waterproof, breathable laminate APEX ClimateBlock fabric is the most protective of The North Face soft shell fabrics. 100% windproof and highly water resistant, APEX ClimateBlock is a stretch alternative to hard shell outerwear. Apex ClimateBlock fabric can be combined with fleece backers of carying lofts to creat highly thermal outerwear.
Zip-In Feature
The TNF zip-in system is featured on many of their shell jackets and insulating jackets. Layering (by adding or removing garments to control temperature) is the most effective way to stay comfortable in a range of weather conditions and activities.
