NORTH FACE Ladies XTC Midweight 1/4 Zip
The XTC Midweight 1/4 Zip top is a soft, thermally efficient, high-performance layering piece. A mid-range fabric density in the new XTC series from The North Face, this Midweight 1/4 zip long sleeve has some unique features. The overall fabric is a bit heavier than the lightweight versions, but not as heavy duty as the expedition, leaving a good mix of material for enhanced sun protection, durability and wicking; while maintaining a fairly overall lightweight performance shirt. Perfect for longer hikes, a little more variability in the weather or just people that prefer a slightly heavier feel in their performance wear.

XTC-Bamboo Charcoal Technology
XTC, a new baselayer from The North Face, utilizes innovative Bamboo Charcoal technology, a process by which the bamboo plant is carbonized at very high temperatures and infused into yarns to enhance performance qualities. The end result of this process is a high-performance product that wicks moisture 50% more rapidly than polyesters, inhibits odors naturally, and blocks harmful UV rays with a UPF 50+ rating, all in a highly compressible, comfortable base layer.

UPF PROTECTION
UV Radiation is a non-visable epart of sunlight associeated with suntans, sunburns, premature aging, and skin cancer. Sun protection properties of a woven or knit fabric are dependent upon transmission, absorption and refection of UV radiation. The fiber type, dye, constuction and finishes determine these characteristics. The North Faces UPF rated garments offer very good UV protection from prolonged exposure to the sun.
VAPORWICK
An advanced finish applied to fabric that aids in transporting moisture away from the body, during aerobic activities, and distributing it on the fabric surface increasing the speed at which the moisture will evaporate keeping you dry and comfortable.
