The hardened aluminum case is lightweight and provides exceptional wear resistance, so it will last for years to come. To help prevent breakage on an outing the strap is constructed without using delicate pins like many other watches. Instead it utilizes the watch as in integral part of the strap making it nealy impossible to break the watch from the band.
