Conduit Laminated Membrane
The Conduit membrane is quiet, supple, lightweight, waterproof and breathable. The unique membrane is made up of interconnected hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules that actively work to draw moisture vapor away from the body. This process accelerates as the moisture concentration rises, so the more you sweat, the more vapor the garment transpires. Because the Conduit membrane doesn`t rely on micro pores, it presents a continuous waterproof barrier and can maintain phenomenal waterproofness under pressure.

100% 40D False Twisted Nylon 66 Twill allowing durability, abrasion resistance and mechanical stretch. 176 x 124 thread count and 3-layer Conduit with high breathability and waterproofness, backed with a high loft super brushed tricot.
Care and Feeding of Softshells
For best performance, it is a good idea to keep your Soft Shell clean and its DWR finish freshly charged. This means keeping oil and grease away from the garment, washing it when it gets dirty and reapplying its DWR finish.
Soft Shells can be machine washed in warm or cold (not hot) water using regular powdered laundry detergent. Wash in a front loading washing machine only. Do not use Woolite, other cleaners with lanolin (or any other oil), or fabric softener. Put the garment through at least two rinse cycles, as the detergent can interact with the DWR finish and needs to be totally rinsed out of the material.
After your Soft Shell has been washed, reapply the DWR finish while the garment is still damp. The heat of the dryer will help set the DWR finish into the fabric. Tumble dry on low heat or line dry.
Mountain Hardwear recommends you retreat your Soft Shell at the beginning of your wet weather season. However, if you are washing your Soft Shell often, or if your Soft Shell is frequently in contact with abrasive surfaces, we recommend retreating the DWR finish more frequently. For best results, use spray-on, rather than wash-in, products. Two brands we suggest are NikWax and Revivex from W.L. Gore. Follow the manufacturer`s instructions for application. Once you have successfully cleaned and refinished your Soft Shell, it should work as well as new again.
