The Mountain Guide Mitt is an extreme mitt for the extreme outdoor adventurer. This modular system has a GoreTex Pro Shell, which is waterproof breathable so your hands will stay drier, warmer, and more comfortable while you play hard. Durable, reinforced Pittards Armortan leather palms will keep your grip sure. To keep your hands toasty warm a removeable 140 gram pile fleece insert is used as insulation. The articulated molded fit, ladderlock wrist cinch, guantlet cinchcord, and the high visibility leash make this mitt perfect for mountaineering.

Pittards Armortan leather
Armortan is a technology aimed at improving the abrasion resistance of basic glove leather. Typical leather structure consists of microscopic fibrils which are randomly intertwined together to form fiber bundles. Armortan is a new generation of chemistry which is focused on these fibril bundles within the leather structure. The fibril bundles are encased by microscopic ceramic `armor plates` which are more resistant to abrasion, thus increasing the durablility of the leather by preventing wear on contact surfaces and materials.
