While the Light is MOTHER`s stripped down, featherweight pack, it still slays any upland vest on the market for comfort and load carrying capacity. Our challenge is to design the most relevant products possible. We reach equilibrium when a design is as simple, yet as functional as possible. The Light is all substance and no fat.

Mesh Cargo Pockets:
The Light`s Massive massive mesh cargo pocket accommodates everything that you will need for a morning in the field. An old time chukar hunter that we know uses the rear mesh cargo pocket as his game bag in early season when the temperatures and sun are still high. Easy to reach mesh side pockets are the perfect place for gloves, hat or munchies.

Game Bag:
Side loading game bag will easily accommodate a couple of fat roosters or a limit of quail and is easily accessed by the wearer.

Shell Pockets:
The Light`s simple and elegant shell pockets each hold twenty-five 2¾in 12 gauge shells. A zipper keeps shells from rolling around in the vehicle to and from the field. Open the zipper in the field and MOTHER`s Flip Magnet closure keeps your shells secure yet readily available for wave after wave of covey rises. The right hand pocket has an internal zippered pocket with snap for keys.

Shoulder Straps:
Low profile sternum strap wonÕt interfere with gun mount. Tactical split webbing provides a home for dog whistles and transmitters.

Hydration:
Compatible with left or right tube routing for left or right hand shooters.

Hip Harness:
Our Hip Harness is not a limp wristed belt - it wraps around your waist with authority and works with the pack`s suspension to transfer the load to your hips. It takes strain off of your shoulders and allows all MOTHER packs to move as a part of your body, instead of a sack draped over your shoulder.

Fabric Used in the Light:
Light weight and durability need not be mutually exclusive properties. The Light uses 420 denier ripstop Nylon and Ballistic Mesh for the main body of the pack. The back and shoulder straps are finished in Air Mesh and the straps don`t have any stiffening material or padding - which means that your gun mount will be as effortless as always.
