The Primero 66 is a State-of-the-art, womens specific, multi-day pack for the serious outdoor enthusiast. The Primero series of packs from The North Face embodies virtually everything we have come to know about pack design and construction. It begins with X Radial suspension, which pivots to complement the body`s natural movements. From there, the back panel has been built from EVA injection-molded foam, the same durable and comfortable materials used in footwear. EVA essentially self-heals when it is cut or indented, quickly regaining its shape and continuity. Truly unique to the backpacking world, extensive testing shows that it functions superbly when left uncovered: airflow channels ventilate freely, it washes easily, and it will not absorb odors. Finally, a nearly invincible, high denier fabric and reinforced panels delivers ruggedness and weather resistance that will withstand backcountry abuse.

X Radial Suspension
The North Face tested and evaluated countless interactive backpack suspension prototypes on its journey to the innovative X Radial suspension system. Patent-pending X Radial suspension consists of a highly unique axis configuration that mimics the human body`s natural movement. The result is an eronomic, comfortable fit over the long haul.
The core of X Radial suspension technology rests within the specially designed 7075 aluminum tubes that are specially shaped to minimize bulk and rigidity. They come together to form an `X`, and it is this pivot point that accommodates the unequal radii that the human form takes when twisting around a central axis and bending from side to side. Fabric attachments create a form-fitting cradle where the body meets the X Radial suspension frame, from the bottom of the frame`s legs to the top of the hipbelt to the ergonomic head rest.
