SITKA MOUNTAIN Ascent Pant
In developing the new Ascent pant, we created a pant that can withstand over 200 days-a-year abuse from guides like Alaska`s Lance Kronberger. Abuse resistance balanced with versatility for the widest range of conditions possible. A pant should enhance your experience, not take away from it.
Bombproof, four-way stretch pant is highly breathable and DWR treated for all-terrain use. The Ascent Pant moves with you, resists wind, weather and abrasions while remaining quiet enough to stalk in close.

DWR
Sitka waterproof breathable outer layers are originally treated with a Durable Water Repellant finish (DWR), which keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job. This coating needs to be replenished once per season, or more often if the piece gets a lot of use or washing. If water is no longer beading up on your shell, it`s time to retreat it. Make sure to use a spray on our softshell pieces, and a wash-in for 2.5 layer garments, like the Downpour series. Additionally, don`t hesitate to treat your Mountain Pants with a DWR spray and watch the water bead off.
Sitka Care
In general, washing your gear in cold or warm water with mild non-deoderant powder laundry soap (non-toxic, biodegradable types preferred) and hand drying it are the best ways to clean Sitka products.
Sap
Freeze it and then pick it off with a dull object. Rub the remainder out with a water and white vinegar solution and then wash with detergent.
Flammability
Like most synthetics, Sika Gear will melt or burn when exposed to flames or direct heat. Use caution when around fires, stoves and hot metal surfaces!
