WINDSTOPPER Soft Shell Body
The next generation of WINDSTOPPER. Featured in Mountain Hardwear`s Transition garments, this three-layer laminate-an extremely breathable, windproof membrane sandwiched between a moisture-grabbing brushed polyester inner and a moisture-wicking jersey knit face. Fitted close to the body and sealed by Lycra at hems and cuffs, a Transition garment creates a microclimate next to the skin. As you exercise and heat up, the temperature/ humidity differential between this interior microclimate and the outside air creates a driving force that pushes moisture out through the membrane as vapor. The next-to-skin microclimate is small in volume so this driving force is extremely efficient, and moisture is driven out quickly.
