Hyperprogressive
This sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all-around riding board on the market. Responsive enough for high-speed power carves but smooth enough to butter your way from the peak to park. An infinite number of different `radii` are blended together flawlessly from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center. Any and every turn all in one.
Hybritech Construction
Hybritech is the most efficient way to make a snowboard. It takes a cap tip and tail and blends it into a sidewall along the running surface. This gives you low swing weight and optimized turn initiation at the ends combined with durability and damping on the running surface.
Triax Top ICG 10 Glass
Glass with a directional element that stiffens the board torsionally. Triaxial provides the best bet for improved edge hold and increased stability for those off-axis landings. K2 has integrated carbon into the fiberglass (Integrated Carbon Glass) reducing overall weight and creating a super smooth release of power while increasing pop and liveliness. Each level of ICG (10, 20, 30) is tailored to the top performance needs per product.
Baseline Camber
Now in all shapes and sizes, from full Powder Rocket boards to traditional cambered performance boards. Simply calling a board Rocker is like saying that a snowboard has sidecut: what, where, shape, and how much camber defines what the board is designed for and where it will excel. At K2, all forms of camber fall under their baseline technology story, which helps easily define what the board is, who it`s for, and what it does. There are six forms of baseline technology and each has a unique performance advantage targeted for a specific riding style and tailored to take every rider to the next level:
- Baseline: Camber Range: 3mm to 8mm Camber
- Catch Free: Camber Range: 1mm+/12mm, 3mm Camber
- Flatline: Camber Range: 0mm/0mm
- Jib Rocker: Rocker Range: 6-2mm/ 120-160mm
- All Terrain Rocker: Rocker Range: 10-7mm/220-180mm
- Powder Rocker: Rocker Range: 13mm+/260mm+
Matrix I Torsion Forks
Carbon has been extended to the very edge of the board for maximum power and pop combined with a fine-tuned edge hold and torsional stability.
WH2 Core
Three species of renewable wood are assembled to optimize strength, reduce weight, and enhance damping without the addition of other materials.
