The 888 ALU, already a big favorite among freeriders of advanced to expert ability, focuses on delivering the optimum strength to weight ratio for the vest freeriding experience. Lightweight and durable DualTi technology is joined by a trusted laminated woodcore and aluminum top, while RST sidewalls ensure the 888 ALU will stand up to harsh backcountry knocks and bruises. Elan Freeride Series
The Freeride series has built on the success fo previous seasons by expanding once again in 09/10. Elan designers have worked overtime to refine this series, collaborating at every turn with the members of Elan`s respected Team Green including the likes of Glen Plake, Brad Holmes and Matthias Mayr to bring you the finest free skiing boards out there.
Ultra Thin Profile Technology
Ultra thin profile technology is specifically developed for Elan`s freeride skis. A low profile laminated wood core, sandwiched by two thin sheets of titanal aluminum ensure maximum responsiveness, otimized flex with torsional stability and reduced weight for outstanding flotation and versatility. You`ll find the sweet spot on your first turn!
RST Sidewall Construction
Vertical sidewalls for maximum edge grip along the full length fo the ski and direct power transmission to the edges at high speed. This World Cup proven technology is the ultimate choice for powerful and aggressive skiers.
Laminated Wood Core
This tip to tail laminated core is separately shaped for each model and size of ski. By using different wood combinations the flex is adjusted for different uses. Responsive and durable this core maintains its flex and transmits power directly to the edges.
DualTi Technology
Two layers of titanium are placed above and below the wood core. This enhances the ski`s responsiveness and enables a progressive flex pattern.
