Roll Control
Developed by The North Face Footwear Team, Roll Control technology is designed to control pronation and promote an efficient and fluid stride while providing maximum support to the foot. Comprised of a dual-density EVA midsole, featuring a denser medial heel wedge, Roll Control works as a stabilizer. It stops the heel from rolling while guiding the foot forward, to create a more accurate strike pattern in demanding mixed terrain. As a result, Roll Control technology prevents potential injuries to the foot, calves and lower back.
Outlast Adaptive Comfort Technology
Outlast Reduces overheating and sweating by absorbing excess heat. It prevents chills by releasing stored heat as necessary. This helps prevent feet from sweating, keeping them dry and comfortable.
X-2 Technology
Full length EVA midsoles are combined with X-2 inserts to manage the impact in the primary impact areas of the foot; the heel, the metatarsals and, in some styles, the toe region of the foot. X-2 cushioning technology offers the best combination of durability, lightness and energy return.
Two-Tier Lacing System
The North Face Two-Tier lacing system offers custom lacing options to accommodate foot swelling during long runs.
-Outer Lacing consists of a wider-based eyelet placement, and offers a precise and secure fit to any width foot. Laces can be easily adjusted to accommodate foot swelling on long runs.
-Inner Lacing works to provide a tighter fit for narrower feet for more centralized support.
-Combination Inner/Outer Lacing combines both systems providing a wider grasp for all around support and narrower lacing for a more focused, secure fitting shoe.
TNF Trail Grip
The North Face Trail Grip is engineered using a combination of highly abrasion-resistant and slip-resistant rubber materials. Laboratory tested for hardness, DIN abrasion and slip-resistance, TNF Trail Grip is rated as an extremely long-lasting, and highly slip-resistant outsole.
