This windblocking Summit Series fleece jacket features hard-face technology that makes it more durable and water resistant than a typical fleece. It starts with Polartec Wind Pro fleece which blocks 90 percent of wind, then a hard face polymer is added which makes the soft fleece fabric act and perform more like a hardshell. A fixed hood provides the extra protection you need when the weather gets nasty: pull it up and keep on truckin`.

Polartec Wind Pro:
Four times more wind resistant than traditional fleece while maintaining breathability that is so crucial for high performance across a variety of activities and a wide range of conditions. It performs exceptionally well as both outerwear and insulation and offers long-lasting durability. Proprietary yarns and a very tight construction reduce the effects of wind chill, and a durable, water repellent outer surface effectively sheds rain and snow. In addition to its weather-inhibiting qualities, Polartec Wind Pro maintains 85% of the breathability of traditional fleece to keep the outdoor athlete from overheating.
Hardface
Polartec Hardface technology applies an advanced surface fusion polymer to classic fleece that enables a softshell garment to act like a hardshell. Abrasion and snag resistance are dramatically increased while water repellency is enhanced to allow the garment to shed light rain and snow. Hardface fabric has a smooth and even surface so that layering pieces can be added or removed more easily.
