Cushioning is a crucial component of performance trail shoes and The North Face incorporates powerful X-2 cushioning into EVA midsoles to ensure optimal cushioning and protection. Embedded in high-impact areas, the heel and/or forefoot, lighweight, durable X-2 cushioning ensures a well-cushioned ride and enables and energy-efficient stride.
The new X-2 O2 air pod is ideal for the varied uses of the multisport athlete, the X-2 O2 heel air pod provides an added measure of cushioning and protection for the athlete moving fast over rugged terrain
TNF Trail Grip
Engineered using a combination of highly abrasion-resistant and slip-resistant rubber materials. Extremely long-lasting.
Roll Control
Developed by The North Face Footwear Team, Roll Control technology is designed to control pronation and promote an efficient and fluid stride while providing maximum support to the foot. Comprised of a dual-density EVA midsole, featuring a denser medial heel wedge, Roll Control works as a stabilizer. It stops the heel from rolling while guiding the foot forward, to create a more accurate strike pattern in demanding mixed terrain. As a result, Roll Control technology prevents potential injuries to the foot, calves and lower back.
