MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR Lamina +20 Degree Long Sleeping Bag
The Lamina 20 degree is an excellent choice for damp, winter conditions. Welded layer construction maintains loft in the bag through repeated washings and compression cycles. This comfortable, roomy, mummy cut bag is insulated with ThermicMicro fill. Face gasket and Ergo Draft Collar work together to seal in warmth.

Lamina Bag/DV8 Construction
The Lamina series utilize Thermic CF (continuous filament) insulation, welded construction and the DV-8 layering method deliver a technologically superior synthetic bag. The design concept was to create a warm, compressible, affordable synthetic sleeping bag that is more efficient in trapping warm air and maintains its loft over a longer period of time.
- Thermic CF insulation is a proprietary silcone-treated, continuous filament insulation that is soft, compressible (very packable) and durable.
- Welded construction eliminates the need for sewn seams and creates a warm, high loft bag; This prevents the insulation from pinching, a common occurrence with a sewn seam.
- The welded construction stabilizes the insulation, or prevents it from `traveling`
throughout the bag and leaving random cold spots.
- Determined voids created by DV-8`s effective layered construction trap more warm air and maintain a more structured loft versus traditional shingle construction.
Thermic Micro Insulation
An exclusive insulation developed for its loft, durability, softness and compressibility. Made from a combination of hollow and solid staple fibers. The fine denier of the fibers and thermo-bonding manufacturing process produces an insulation that is thermally efficient, structurally stable, and has excellent loft retention. This manufacturing process also produces an insulation that is more consistent than a lapped continuous filament.
Ergonomic Collar
Drapes comfortably over the neck and shoulders, sealing out drafts without the need to cinch down the drawcords unless the bag is being used close to it temperature limits. Drawcords are set back away from the neck, ensuring a soft, effective seal.
Face Gasket
When it`s cold enough to cinch down the hood opening, these down-filled tubes create a comfortable seal, keeping warm air in and cold air out.
Welded Constructed
All Mountain Hardwear Expedition series bags combine waterproof-breathable Conduit SL fabric with welded construction to produce sleeping bag shells that are genuinely waterproof. In the down filled models, the baffles are bonded to the shell fabric without stitching and all fabric joining seams are taped from the inside. There are no stitch holes to leak, so the down is fully protected from loft-killing moisture. Like-wise in our new synthetic fill models, the insulation is bonded directly to the shell without stitching. While it may be true that synthetic bags still offer warmth when wet, no one wants to sleep in a soaked bag. These bags will keep the fill working at optimal effectiveness, even in wet conditions.
Comfort Footbox
Formerly found only on our Expedition bags, this complex footbox is shaped to allow feet to rest naturally, angled out slightly with toes pointed. The shape helps preserve loft and allows the down to drape closer to the feet, increasing warmth. Multiple baffles keep the down evenly distributed around the footbox.
