NORTHOTIC
When it comes to hiking and running rocky trails, the feet need all the help they can get for optimum support, stability, and cusioning. The North Face propietary Northotic is a powerful, multi-density footbed that gives the trail user improved stability, essential support and dependable cushoining on rugged terrain.
1- Lateral and medial TPU heel cradle offers torsional stability and arch support, plus prohibits over-pronation.
2- Pollyou polyurethane (PU) footbed.(A) Firmer PU under the ball and heel for cushioning and stability. (B) Softer top layer for a cushioned ride thoughout.
3- Longitudinal arch wedge prevents the foot from sliding forward and supports the arch.
4- agION antimicrobial silver agent woven into the top sheet of the footbed inhibits the growth of odor- and disease-causing bacteria.
BOA LACING SYSTEM
This season, The North Face introduces a first in trail running, the advanced Boa Lacing System on its new Endurus XCR Boa trail-running shoes. Unlike traditional lacing systems, the carefully engineered Boa system enables minute adjustment for optimum closure force each and every time, and enables simple, on-the-fly adjustment. with the Boa system there are simply no pressure points. Instead, it operates like a special suspention system that enables the runner to dial in an even and repeatable tightness. It will not come loose and it never needs retying. for the trail runner the advantages are numerous and obvious, easy mirco-adjustment, pressure-free performance and fit, and long-distance comfort.
X-2 CUSHIONING
Cushioning is a crucial component of performance trail shoes and The North Face incorporates its powerful X-2 cushioning into its EVA midsoles to ensure optimal cushioning and protection. Embedded in high-impact areas, the heel and/or forefoot areas, lightweight, durable, X-2 cushioning ensures a well-cushioned ride and enables an energy-efficient stride.
This season, The North Face has added the new X-2 Oxygen air bag to its range of X-2 cushioning options. Ideal for the varied uses of the multisport athlete, the X-2 Oxygen heel air bag provides an added measure of cushioning and protection for the athlete moving fast over rugged terrain.
