COLUMBIA Mens Diamond Peak Hiking Boot

The ultimate, classicly designed hiking boot souped up with modern technology which makes it perfect for those multiple day, heavy load backpacking hikes. Columbia`s Diamond Peak is engineered with rubber infused seams to make the boot waterproof. Dri-lex provides a wicking feel to the boot, which helps keep the boot dry in wet conditions. An internal EVA and nylon shank make for a comfortable ride while providing structure and durability to the boot. The boot has great traction and resists marking with the Omni-Gripreg; rubber compound sole.

WATERPROOF -
Columbia Sportwear uses the process of applying a rubber based adhesive sealant to the inside seams of boots and shoes coupled with an impregnated waterproof treatment on the upper which helps shed moisture away from the foot in wet conditions.

DRI-LEX -
A fabric lining material developed by Faytex Company that combines a soft, abrasion resistant polyester face fiber with a backing of Allied Signal`s Hydrofil nylon fiber. Dri-lex wicking action channels moisture away from the foot, allowing for a dry, comfortable environment.

OMNI-GRIP -HIKING
Non-Marking. Firm-to-medium compound - maximum combination of traction and durability for rough to varied terrain. Similar to trail, with increased abraision-resistance for longer wear.

GUSSETED TONGUE -
A design feature where the tongue is attached to the bottom and both sides of the eyestay. This prevents debris from entering the shoe and keeping the tongure secured in place.

EVA -
Stands for `Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate.` A chemical blend of polymers that form a cellular foam used in footbeds, midsoles, and outsoles. Provides lightweight, flexible, cushioning that is highly impact resistant. Also acts an an insulation barrier in cold weather products.
