LIFT TECHNOLOGY
The North Face now utilizes innovative lift technology in many of its latest tents. Lift technology employs an upper level vent, or vents that enables the tent to work with the inevitable wind, rather than against it. Instead of being knocked about or even over in windy conditions, the tent actually lifts slightly, improving tent stability.

MICROCLIP
All Flight Series tents this season utilize a proprietary MicroClip to secure the canopy to the poles. These strong, ultra-light clips employ a camming action to lock onto the pole and hold it securely in place. The result is a lighter weight clip with improved strength and holding power.

REVERSE-COMBI POLES
Reverse-Combi Poles use a different diameter of metal in different areas of the pole, with a larger diameter at the top of the tent and a smaller diameter on the sides. This change in tension alters the arc of the pole and allows the tent walls to be steeper while flattening the top. With steeper tent walls, the interior footprint is maximized to offer more useable space for greater comfort and greater headroom for occupants.

DAC FEATHERLITE POLES
These poles are found in TNFs 4-Season, 3-Season and Ultralight Tents. DAC Featherlite poles are up to 15% lighter than aluminum poles of comparable strength. Plus, these Featherlite poles are less susceptible to failure because pole linkages are based on extrusion instead of glued inserts. Without an extra insert piece, there is less chance of breakage.
