THINSULATE
It is a 3M product used to keep the foot warm. Thinsulatetrade; is made of large number of laminates that trap the cold from coming in from the outside while keeping the warmth developed by the foot inside. It comes in increments of 200 grams. For mildly cold regions, a boot with 400 grams of Thinsulatetrade; would suffice; while for very cold places a hunter needs a boot with 1200 grams of Thinsulate.

WATERPROOF LINING
It is an extremely thin fabric developed to keep the foot completely dry. The membrane is applied to the boot like a pair of socks, which is then seam sealed inside the boot where it is stitched. Silvis factories test each waterproof `sock` to ensure that it is indeed waterproof before apply the sock to a particular boot, that way Silvis can confidently claim that a boot is waterproof.
