CRKT Slide Hawg Knife

The Side Hawg is both minimal and functional. It is one piece of 420J2 stainless steel, skeletonized with CNC chamfered edges and a single side grind. The deeply curved modified drop point blade has a 1.625 in Razor-Sharp cutting edge. It is a versatile shape, designed for a broad range of outdoor tasks from carving, cutting line or rope, slicing and trimming, to skinning game. Regardless of the grit or grime, the Side Hawg has no hidden areas to trap dirt or moisture, so it can be completely cleaned.

A deep finger choil locates the knife in the user`s hand and gives a secure grip. Friction grooves on the spine locate the thumb securely. The amply drilled handle not only lightens the knife, but also provides grip edges for the fingers.

The Sheath Plate is constructed of lightweight black Zytel with a stainless steel post and saddle clip. The Side Hawk is securely held by placing its locator hole over the post, and then rotating the knife into the saddle clip. The precision fit of the knife`s flat ground side effectively seals the cutting edge to the frame. Drawing the knife is a fast one-hand action.

The knife/sheath plate is small enough to be carried in a pants pocket, coat pocket, vest pocket or PFD pocket. A carabiner and nylon strap allow you to attach the Side Hawg to D-rings, belts, or belt loops, so you won`t lose it whether you are running through the brush or running a river.
