OutDry™ Extreme
OutDry™ Extreme is the first ever waterproof and breathable fabric technology constructed with a waterproof layer on the outside and soft, wicking fabric inside. Traditional raingear uses interior waterproof membranes which don't allow for air flow, and water-repellent coating that degrades over time. With OutDry™ Extreme, the rugged exterior is an incredibly water-tight membrane with millions of microscopic perforations that let water vapor escape through a wicking membrane directly fused to the shell.

Omni-Tech™
Omni-Tech fabric provides premium waterproof breathable protection from the elements for Columbia's best products. Microporous material allows vapor from perspiration to escape while blocking outside moisture from entering resulting in a garment that can keep you comfortable and dry even when you're performing in adverse conditions.

Thermarator™
Synthetic down with a high warmth-to-weight ratio that traps warmth and retains heat even when wet.

Interchange System
Columbia's interchange system combines a shell and liner jacket for ultimate versatility: each can be worn alone or both together to adjust to changing conditions over the course of a day or in different seasons.

Recent purchase w/ Bob Wards

I had my eye on this product for awhile. When it came time to buying it, Bob Wards had the best deal on the market. It’s an exceptional jacket that fit true to size. Everything stated about this item was spot on. I’m extemely happy with this purchase and was happy that it came to me with no issues at all. Everything from ordering it online to front door delivery was executed perfectly with no troubles at all. I would definitely recommend Bob Wards for your shopping needs!!!

Warm and dry

Love that Bob Wards had this item in my size when Columbia and other sellers were sold out. I’ve already been able to test it out in rain and snow and I’m happy that it’s kept me warm and dry. The shell is so thin I had doubts that it would be able to protect from the elements but it did an amazing job. Compresses very well for shoving into my daypack. If in freezing temps the arms for the inner layer are not as insulated so I just opted for a fleece layer underneath. Very versatile for a wide range of temperatures. I will echo other reviews about the neck area of the jackets hitting your chin uncomfortably when zipped up but I think this is an intentional design to protect your neck from wind. Just takes some getting used to. Overall great design and I love it. Taking it to Germany later in February and confident I will be fine.
