Some of the best boots I’ve purchased, well worth the money for a quality boot that lasts for years.

Hawthorn smoke jumper boots.

Only been wearing them for two weeks. There a lot lighter then the older ones I have. I will have to see if they hold up, the leather don't seem to be as durable as my old pair. They been good so far and there comfortable.

3rd Pair

I have tried Drews, Danner, and Hathorn. The hathorn boots are much more durable than the other 2 brands I have tried. These boots have been worn in the most rugged, rocky country in America, and in ember-filled earth when on wildfire assignments. I buy a pair every year, and have all the backup pairs which are in firefighting condition.

So far I am very pleased with the boots. The fit is excellent as is the construction. I had to call to order due to a glitch with the website. Customer Service was great. I did go a full size down from my normal shoe size. I had originally ordered an 11.5 which turned out to be too big. Bob Wards customer service was very helpful with the exchange for a size 11 and sent the new pair immediately. My only complaint is that one rep told me I was responsible for the shipping cost of the return and to get them a tracking number once they shipped. I did this, which was $49.95 to ship the boots back. When I received my new boots there was an Exchange form and a return shipping label inside the box. Had I known this was coming I would have saved 50 bucks!
