Nearly Perfect Poles 4.75 out of 5

I really like the MSR poles. I purchased them to aid in balance and stability while snow shoeing. They are very nice poles and function quite well. I love the ease of adjusting the tension on the locks. The only thing that I find a bit irritating is that when the lower portion of the pole is retracted (for storage/transport) the lower 6-8 inches does not lock in place. It randomly slides in and out of the upper part of pole. This allows it to catch on things as you are moving them around. I store and transport my poles attached to my snowshoe bag. I have to be careful as I am moving my bag so I don't do damage to anything. Otherwise, great poles! And great service from Bob Wards!
